How things work in O'Fallon
Tom Dean

The city of O'Fallon has approved several Transportation Development Districts and Commercial Improvement
Districts which have additional sales taxes added to the basic 7.4% sales tax we all pay in the city. These districts
are essentially unaccountable to the public or any government body. They do file an abbreviated income
statement with the state auditor, but it is meaningless.

I got copies of most St. Charles County TDDs and CIDs. Guess who is the listed administrator of 5 or more of the
districts?  Pat Nasi, our former city administrator under St. Paul Renaud. And his salary to pay bills out of these
accounts? $10,000 from each as he sits in a Chesterfield office.

Nasi is now on the Wentzville School District Board and has run interference against parents who raise safety
questions about lack of turn lanes into some of the new subdivisions.
